Navarro Cia, Miguel (212) - Harborne, Matthew J (194) [A45]
Birmingham & District Chess League Birmingham (2.1), 05.11.2019

1.d4 Cf6 2.Ag5 e6 3.e4 Ae7 4.Ad3 b6 5.Cc3 [5.Cf3; 5.f4] 5...d5 6.e5 Cfd7 7.Axe7 [7.h4!? In the spirit of the Alekhine-Chatard Attack. ¥d3 is definitely more useful than b6.] 7...Dxe7 8.Dg4

8.Dg4
[8.Cb5!?] 8...f5 9.exf6 Cxf6 10.Dh4 e5 [10...0–0? 11.Axh7++-]

11.Ah7+
11.Ag6+ Looking for a sharp double edge position [11.dxe5 Dxe5+ 12.Cge2²] 11...Rf8 12.dxe5 Dxe5+ 13.Cge2 d4? 14.0–0–0!

14.0-0-0
dxc3 [14...c5 Trying to keep everything close... 15.Cxd4!!

15.Cxd4
But this blows up everything 15...cxd4 16.The1 Dxe1 (16...Dc7 17.Cd5 Cxd5 18.Te8#; 16...Da5 17.Dxd4 Dg5+ 18.f4 Dxg6 19.Db4+ and check mate soon) 17.Txe1 dxc3 18.Db4+ Rg8 19.Dc4+ Ae6 20.Dxe6+ Rf8 21.Df7#] 15.Cxc3?! [15.Td8+ This moves is so easy that there is no need to look for something else 15...Re7 16.Txh8 cxb2+ 17.Rb1 hxg6 (17...Dxe2?? 18.Te8++-) 18.Txc8 Dxe2 19.Dh8+-

This move, that I missed in my analysis, ends the game. In any case, objectively, White should not fear the position at all as the Black's king is too exposed and Black cannot develop its queen's side] 15...Cbd7 16.The1 Da5 17.Ae4 [17.Te6!

17.Te6
Difficult move to find in a game, but it demolishes Black's barricade 17...Ab7 (17...c5 18.Txd7 Axd7 19.Txf6+ gxf6 20.Dxf6+ Rg8 21.Df7#) 18.Txd7 Cxd7 19.De7+ Rg8 20.Df7#] 17...Tb8 18.g4 h6 19.Dg3 [¹19.Af5] 19...b5 20.g5? [20.Af5!÷] 20...hxg5 21.Dxg5 Th5! (=) 22.Dg6 With 1 min in Black's clock, I had to keep the game going! 22...Th6 23.Dg5 Th5 24.Df4 b4 25.Cd5 Ab7 26.Cxc7 Axe4 27.Txd7

Rg8!–+ I missed this strong move. I was now completely lost...but Black had seconds in its clock 28.Txe4 Cxd7 29.Te7 Cf6 30.Ce6 b3?? [30...De5!–+] 31.Txg7+ Rh8 32.Dxb8+ 1–0
